Shamshera box office collection day Two – Poor reviews and an unimpressive fan response have left this Ranbir Kapoor-Sanjay Dutt film struggling at the box office.
Ranbir Kapoor’s performance as a double in Shamshera appears to have made no impression on his fans this time. The latest release from the YRF stable has bombed at the box office.
Shamshera had the highest screen count in the post-pandemic era when it was released on July 22. However, negative reviews and muted fan reactions appear to be the main reasons for its underwhelming run. It only collected Rs 10 crore on its first day, compared to expectations of Rs 14-15 crore.
Shamshera was advertised as having every component of a successful Bollywood potboiler. But the film continues to do poorly, with the exception of a few locations in the Hindi-speaking regions of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Despite being dubbed in Tamil and Telugu, it barely grossed Rs 2.75 crore in Maharashtra on Friday and is also having trouble in the southern Indian states.
Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Vaani Kapoor are the stars of Shamshera. It was directed by Karan Malhotra, who also oversaw the films Brothers and Agneepath.
