After an extremely huge delay, the end part to the “Guardians of the Galaxy” set of three is nearly here.
The first trailer for “GOTG Vol. 3” dropped Thursday on YouTube, subsequent to debuting at Brazil Comic Con, again uncovering the gathering of improbable legends who have moderately elusive starting points in the Wonder comic books yet – on account of the direction of chief James Gunn – have become one of the most dearest bunches in the MCU.
The secret clasp shows extreme emotion among the interstellar swashbucklers, who incorporate Starlord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Cloud (Karen Gillan), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) and Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper).
Rocket, specifically, is seen a pack in the trailer, remembering for a flashback scene when he’s a small space raccoon, promising watchers some greeting backstory.
Less present is Gamora, who through the occasions of 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame” is at this point not mindful of her relationship with the group. Marvelites are anxious to see exactly how she’ll be integrated into the story here, and whether she’ll some way or another recall her companions (and love for Peter Plume/Starlord).
But as usual, the interplanetary activity is set to extraordinary legacy tunes, this time one specifically: “In the Meantime” by Spacehog, from 1994.
The initial two “Guardians” films generally highlighted darling music from the ’60s and ‘70s, and the music decision in this trailer is maybe a sign that the exceptionally expected soundtrack to the third volume may be somewhat more contemporary, with tunes from the ‘80s/’90s.
Since “Endgame” and before that, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” in 2017, the team (less Saldana’s Gamora) was seen momentarily in this summer’s “Thor: Love and Thunder” and simply last week in the “Guardians of the Galaxy Occasion Special,” costarring Kevin Bacon.
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” impacts into theaters on May 5, 2023.
