CD Projekt RED, the developer of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, has announced the release of Update 2.0 for the game. This latest update will be available on various platforms including PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The update will feature a plethora of tweaks and improvements to the game, along with general stability enhancements.
The changes are so extensive that the developer is encouraging players to start the game anew to fully experience the game’s new and improved state.
The journey of Cyberpunk 2077 has been nothing short of remarkable. The game’s initial release was plagued with numerous bugs and glitches, rendering it almost unplayable.
It was rated as one of the worst video game releases in history. However, the game has come a long way since then.
Following its disastrous launch, the game received multiple updates and patches aimed at fulfilling the developers’ promises. With the release of Update 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty expansion on the horizon, it appears that players who persevered are finally being rewarded.
Regarding the contents of Update 2.0, we are pleased to announce that the free update will feature an enhanced police system and heightened chase sequences, as well as the addition of passive NCPD officers throughout the city. Furthermore, vehicle combat has been introduced, alongside significant modifications to the game’s combat and netrunning mechanics.
Notably, the perk trees have undergone substantial revisions, resulting in more impactful perks with fewer options available. Additionally, five new perk trees have been introduced, including Headhunter, Netrunner, Shinobi, Solo, and Engineer.
It is important to note that CDPR has adjusted the system requirements for the game to accommodate Update 2.0. We strongly advise players to verify their system specifications before installing the update.
